Angioplasty is a procedure that uses a catheter and a balloon to open up blocked arteries. Stenting happens after angioplasty during which your cardiologist inserts a small metal device in the artery. The stent helps keep the artery open and improve blood flow.In addition to these treatment methods, your provider may use a device that removes the plaque in a process called atherectomy.
Venous Thrombectomy is an intervention to remove a blood clot from a vein when the patient has a deep venous thrombosis (DVT) when appropriate. The procedure can restore blood flow to vital organs, like your legs, arms or intestines or other vital organs. A thrombectomy can greatly reduce the risk of death or permanent disability if performed promptly. it can be followed by angioplasty or stenting.
Carotid Angioplasty And Stenting are procedures that open clogged arteries to restore blood flow to the brain. They're often performed to treat or prevent strokes.
The carotid arteries are located on each side of your neck.
The procedure involves temporarily inflating a tiny balloon into the artery to widen the area, carotid angioplasty is often combined with stenting involving placing a small metal coil (stent) in the clogged artery. The stent helps prop the artery open and decreases the chance of it narrowing again.
Venous ablation is a minimally invasive, outpatient treatment option to treat patients suffering from pain, heaviness, swelling, itching, throbbing, cosmetically unappealing or uncomfortable legs from varicose veins or chronic venous insufficiency.
Pharmacomechnical (ClariVein); during the procedure, a catheter is inserted into the diseased vein and causes the vein to close down. Blood then naturally re-routes to other healthy veins once the diseased vein is closed.
